This week on the Nintendo Switch eShop, we’ve got an assortment of SNES classics making a comeback, a new batch of tunes for Nintendo’s music app, some enticing sales to consider, and an array of fresh titles ready for download.
The Switch Online library is welcoming four new additions, all courtesy of Koei, a well-regarded developer from the SNES era. First up, we have Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness. These games, originally released in the early ’90s, plunge players into the Sengoku period of Japan, challenging you to reunite the nation’s fractured regions.
Following these, we venture into ancient China with Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire. This 1994 release is a turn-based strategy game inspired by the classic novel, inviting players to navigate the tumultuous Three Kingdoms era.
Koei’s world tour continues with Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, a European-centric adventure about sailing and trading that debuted in 1993. It’s a fascinating blend of exploration and commerce set during the Age of Discovery.
On the musical front, Nintendo’s Music app is growing with the partial release of the Kirby and the Forgotten Land soundtrack, featuring 23 tracks. It’s a bit mysterious why we only see part of the collection, but here’s hoping more tunes are on the way soon.
Turning to new game releases, this week’s lineup also includes Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. We recently sat down with Turtle Flip Studio, the creative minds behind the game, in an episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast. Make sure to check it out, and stay tuned as we prepare a full review.
So, that’s your eShop update for the week. What games are capturing your interest? Share what you’ll be playing!
