Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has kicked things into high gear with a flurry of fresh content just weeks after launch. As the first season unfolds, fans are being treated to an array of new multiplayer maps, innovative game modes, and additional Warzone content. Unlike the previous game, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6 isn’t leaving its Zombies mode behind.
In fact, Season 1 has introduced the much-anticipated Directed Mode for Zombies. This feature provides newcomers with a guided experience, helping them uncover the main Easter eggs in Terminus and Liberty Falls. As if that wasn’t enough, the mid-season update promises even more exciting additions, including the brand-new Citadelle des Morts map, a unique Wonder Weapon, and a fresh enemy type. Players can also look forward to a new Perk-a-Cola, which, based on the wording, hints at the possible return of a classic Perk rather than the debut of a completely new one.
As the buzz around this new Perk continues, several leaks have surfaced, although it’s wise to approach them with caution. These might just be remnants from the game’s original development phase. Nevertheless, five potential Perks are rumored to make an appearance: Vulture Aid, Double Tap, Mule Kick, Death Perception, and Tombstone.
Vulture Aid, a fan favorite from Black Ops 2, is known for allowing players to spot weapons and special items through walls, receive bonus ammo drops, and temporarily become invisible to zombies when surrounded by green gas clouds. Double Tap, which hasn’t returned since Black Ops 3, was beloved for its ability to increase the rate of fire and double the damage with each shot in its 2.0 version. Mule Kick, another classic, lets players carry a third weapon, which often proves invaluable.
Death Perception, although not as popular, allows players to see zombies through walls. Tombstone, on the other hand, offers a handy feature: recovering Perks and weapons after death. This Perk will also roll out to Liberty Falls and Terminus via the Wunderfizz machine.
But only one Perk will take center stage in this season of Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode. While Vulture Aid might be a nostalgic choice, Double Tap and Mule Kick could be far more practical and beneficial additions for players diving into the new season.
In this season, everything about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 feels expansive. From its rich campaign, which throws players into a gripping spy action thriller set during the early 90s, to the dynamic multiplayer, featuring 16 maps right off the bat, this game offers an exhilarating ride. And with the return of the beloved Round-Based Zombies mode, the thrill doesn’t stop. Released on October 25, 2024, Black Ops 6 continues to deliver an immersive gaming experience across platforms, keeping players engaged with its high-stakes action and strategic gameplay.
