Today marks the launch of Alien: Rogue Incursion on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while fans of the series will have to wait until February next year for its arrival on the Quest. Meanwhile, the developers at Survios have exciting news: they’re already hard at work on crafting ‘Part Two’ of this thrilling saga.
Having already delved into Part One, we were able to provide a full review, where it earned a respectable 7 out of 10. The game impressed us with its immersive atmosphere and engaging narrative. However, the repetitive enemy encounters and a challenging save system did slightly mar the experience.
Even though Part One stands strongly on its own, offering about eight hours of intense gameplay filled with swarms of Xenomorphs and compelling story elements, it leaves you anticipating the next chapter of the action-packed adventure.
While details are still under wraps, Survios has hinted that Part Two will bring a refreshing variety to the mix. It promises to continue Zula’s tale, with deadlier foes and tougher challenges, and development is already in full swing.
In the meantime, Quest users can look forward to experiencing Part One exclusively on Quest 3/3S, with its release slated for February 13th, 2025. Bringing those intricately-designed levels, detailed textures, and physics-based interactions to the Quest 3’s mobile chipset posed a significant challenge, which explains the studio’s decision to delay the launch.
With the foundational systems already established in Part One, we’re optimistic about a swift return for Zula Hendricks’ next chapter. This could potentially be her final stand to rid the rogue science station of those persistent, acid-spitting Xenomorphs.
