Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is gearing up for a PC and console release on February 11th. In an exciting update from Firaxis and 2K Games, fans will be thrilled to know that a special version of the game is also landing on Quest this Spring.
This exclusive edition for Quest is uniquely tailored for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S, allowing players to craft their own civilization from a first-person view. The experience promises to lift you above the map, offering immersive gameplay in both virtual and mixed reality modes.
Developed by PlaySide Studios alongside 2K, Civilization VII – VR is set to offer both solo adventures and online multiplayer sessions, accommodating up to three additional players on Quest 3 and 3S.
One of the standout features is the game’s ability to animate the series’ renowned world leaders, bringing them directly in front of you as they respond dynamically to your diplomatic moves, be it forging alliances or waging wars.
While a specific release date hasn’t been pinned down yet, the game is slated for a Spring 2025 launch. This announcement was made during the Civ World Summit event over the weekend.
Until then, you can add Civilization VII – VR to your wishlist over in the Horizon Store for both Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
