As the buzz around the gaming world grows, Combat Waffle, the team behind the well-regarded Ghosts of Tabor, is gearing up to unleash Silent North. This upcoming VR shooter promises an intense mix of multiplayer zombie survival, and it’s expected to hit the shelves for Quest and Steam early access in March.
Published courtesy of Beyond Frames Entertainment, Silent North transports players high up in the rugged terrain of the Swiss Alps. Here, survival is key, not just against the relentless hordes of zombies but also against other players who, like you, are out for blood and loot.
Players have the option to either join forces or venture out alone, scavenging essential gear and defending against what’s touted as an “endless swarm of ravenous corpses,” according to Combat Waffle.
“Chock-full of PVPVE action, every encounter promises the thrill of battling both players and the infected,” the game’s description hints. “Whether you’re scaling mountainous terrains or traversing plains, brace yourself for heart-pounding firefights to stay alive, or choose to become the predator, hunting down your foes in the wilderness. Move with caution, though—other players might be lurking, ready to ambush.”
For those eager to dive into this thrilling adventure, Silent North is now available for pre-order on the Horizon Store at $17, offering a tempting 15% discount off its release price of $20. Furthermore, gamers can now add it to their Steam wishlist, which will also feature a similar 15% launch discount.
With its early access debut set for Steam and the Horizon Store in March, the studio is yet to reveal when the game will expand to additional VR platforms such as PSVR 2 and Pico headsets.
As of the latest update on February 21st, 2024, while the studio reconfirmed a March launch, they haven’t pinned down an exact release date just yet.
