Shift Up is getting into the holiday spirit with an unexpected Christmas update for their action-packed game, Stellar Blade. This game, which was nominated at The Game Awards, promises to add some seasonal cheer, making it an enjoyable experience during this festive time.
As part of the Christmas update for Stellar Blade, the city of Xion will undergo a delightful transformation. The city square will be draped in warm lights and festive decorations, creating a cozy atmosphere that captures the essence of Christmas. Additionally, The Last Gulp bar will sport its own set of holiday decorations for players to appreciate. To make things even more exciting, a brand new mini-game awaits in Xion, offering players the chance to earn some enticing rewards upon completion.
Eve’s camp won’t be left out of the festive fun, as it, too, will be adorned with holiday decorations. Complementing the visual changes are two new background music tracks – “Dawn (Winter)” and “Take Me Away” – that will perfectly accompany the season’s vibes.
Perhaps the most thrilling addition to Stellar Blade are the holiday-themed cosmetics. Fans of Eve are in for a treat with the introduction of the Santa Dress, along with the playful Santa Girl hairstyle, Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs. These additions allow players to deck out Eve in a truly festive style.
Not to leave other characters behind, Adam will don the whimsical “I’m No Santa” costume, giving the appearance of Santa playfully carrying him on his shoulders. Even the Drone receives a holiday makeover with the Rudolph Pack cosmetic, which includes a charming Rudolph mask complete with a glowing red nose.
For those who might not be in the holiday mood, Shift Up has thoughtfully included a feature that lets players toggle the seasonal content on or off. Similarly, there’s an option for adjusting the visibility of the NieR: Automata DLC within the game settings, ensuring a customizable experience for all players.
Players eager to dive into the holiday festivities won’t need to wait long, as the update is scheduled to go live tomorrow, December 17, 2024.
DongKi Lee, the CTO of Shift Up, expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “We’ve crafted wonderful surprises for Stellar Blade players during this chilly winter. Our development team has put a special effort into this update to spread holiday joy to everyone. We hope Xion’s once barren streets are now filled with seasonal magic.”
