Hello everyone! I’m Yosuke Futami, the producer behind Synduality Echo of Ada. We’re thrilled to have you join us on an adventurous journey across Amasia in your trusty Cradlecoffin mech, alongside your reliable Magus partner, as the Open Network Test launches tomorrow!
If Synduality is new to you, let’s dive into the setting. It’s the year 2222, and humanity has taken a significant hit; deadly rains have ravaged the world, giving rise to terrifying mutants known as Enders. The survivors have been driven underground, scavenging on the surface while protected inside the Cradlecoffins—these formidable two-legged mechs stretch up to 20 feet tall. For folks piloting these mechanical giants, having an AI buddy called Magus is indispensable. Your Magus isn’t just there for companionship—it’s a vital digital ally that provides assistance during combat scenarios as you scour the ruins of Amasia for critical resources. These resources are your ticket to upgrading base structures and crafting mightier Cradlecoffin components, crucial for humanity’s continued survival.
Just like in the anime, your Magus is the most reliable partner you’ve got in the unpredictable world of Amasia. This AI sidekick evolves alongside you, pinpointing critical locations on the map, whether you’re gathering resources or ambushing other Drifters. A unique aspect of Synduality is you never quite know which fellow Drifters will be roaming the surface with you. Will cooperation prevail when valuable resources are at stake, or will you face off with a top bounty hunter eager to snatch hard-earned spoils? During our Closed Network Test earlier this year, we witnessed some intriguing dynamics—Drifters making it to the extraction elevator unharmed, only for someone to turn against the group in the last moment to claim the loot. So, as I mentioned before, your Magus stands as your only true confidant in Synduality Echo of Ada.
Reflecting on our Closed Network Test experience, our development team has been diligently working to enhance the game further. As an extraction shooter, there are some core gameplay elements that might catch newcomers off-guard, which is why we’ve curated a comprehensive tutorial to give you a solid start. Being an online game, minimizing lag during raids was paramount for us. We’ve also been fine-tuning weapon and PvE balancing. We urge you to dive into the Open Network Test to share your insights! Feedback from our earlier tests and participant surveys has been invaluable and pivotal in helping us refine Synduality Echo of Ada for its official release.
Another exciting update unveiled recently is the introduction of solo missions in the game. We’ve integrated a PvE component, inviting players to delve deeper into the lore of Synduality, unraveling the collapse of the underground city of Amasia and the intriguing history of the Drifter and Magus relationships. While these single-player missions won’t jeopardize your equipment, they also won’t let you keep any weapons you find. These missions will present special adversaries and demand keen resource management. Through insightful logs and records, these narratives will unfold via cutscenes, audio logs, and more upon the game’s full launch.
As we approach the Open Network Test tomorrow, get ready to explore an expanded array of garage options, Magus customization, and a plethora of weapons and gear. Whether it’s your return to the wastelands or your first venture into Amasia, we’re excited to welcome you aboard. Safe travels and best of luck, Drifter!
