Even though it boasts some standout features—like those superb headphones that remain unrivaled—the combination of its hefty price tag, intricate setup, bulky design, and outdated specifications makes it a tough sell for most users today.

When considering a top-notch PC VR experience today, I’d steer you towards the Quest 3. Why? It strikes the right balance between cost, user-friendliness, and visual performance.
The Quest 3 edges out the competition with its market-leading lenses, both in clarity and the sweet spot. It offers a much higher resolution compared to the Index and includes excellent inside-out tracking. Unlike the Index, you won’t need to hassle with external tracking beacons. Just don’t forget to upgrade the head strap with something like the ANNAPRO Battery Head Strap, which enhances comfort and includes an onboard battery for better weight distribution and longer playtimes.
