This month, a legendary landmark from gaming’s past makes a grand entrance onto Xbox Game Pass: the original Diablo. This action RPG kicked off a beloved franchise back in 1997, taking players on a journey through the depths of hell.
Although it might not steal the spotlight like some recent big releases such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or STALKER 2, the classic Diablo still holds its own in 2025. As long as you approach it without expecting the massive hordes of enemies and dazzling abilities of its modern sequels, you’ll find yourself thoroughly enjoying this old-school dungeon-crawling experience.
