When S-Game first introduced Phantom Blade Zero at the 2023 PlayStation Showcase, it left quite an impression with its slick action sequences and captivating world, quickly becoming one of the most anticipated games for the PS5. Now that gamers have had a chance to experience its magic, the anticipation has only grown. Thankfully, for those eagerly awaiting more, the developers have announced that a new trailer is on the horizon.
PS5 Game Phantom Blade Zero Trailer Coming Next Week
Over on Phantom Blade Zero’s official account, previously known as Twitter, they shared that fans won’t have to wait long for a closer look. Mark your calendars for January 21, 2025, 8 PM PST, when the fresh trailer will drop. Titled "Year of the Snake," this trailer coincides with and celebrates the 2025 Chinese New Year.
“Prepare to witness a gripping, unedited Boss Fight gameplay video that highlights our daring innovations and offers a deep dive into crafting the ultimate melee combat experience,” the post proudly declares.
Phantom Blade Zero comes from S-Game, a Chinese developer primarily known for mobile games that haven’t seen much release outside China. The upcoming title represents a "spiritual rebirth" of Soulframe’s Rainblood: Town of Death, marking its evolution into the Phantom Blade series. Describing its unique style as “kungfupunk,” the game creatively blends Chinese martial arts, steampunk elements, and the mystic arts to form an undeniably intriguing setting.
In this game, players inhabit the character Soul, a highly skilled assassin enlisted by an enigmatic yet influential group known as ‘The Order’. Soul finds himself wrongfully accused of murdering the group’s leader and narrowly escapes, seriously wounded, during the ensuing pursuit. Though a mystical healer spares him from death using a temporary cure, it’s only effective for 66 days. With time running against him, Soul must unravel the sinister plot and root out the mastermind behind it all, while facing formidable enemies and otherworldly creatures.
While the release date remains undisclosed, one thing is for certain: once Phantom Blade Zero becomes available, it will be joining the PS5 lineup.
