The opinions among members of the Commander Format Panel were quite diverse. Some panelists think that the game would be more enjoyable without certain cards, while others prefer to wait and observe how the Commander Bracket system unfolds before making any decisions. Meanwhile, there are voices suggesting it’s too early for changes regarding these cards. Although a few were inclined to take immediate action concerning Jeweled Lotus, this view was not widely shared. A significant majority felt that it’s best to refrain from making changes to any of these cards for the time being.
In all transparency, I personally think that if any card were to make a comeback, it might be Jeweled Lotus. It’s unique because it’s a one-time-use card, holds iconic status, and can greatly aid commanders with high mana requirements. To avoid any misinterpretation, I’m not suggesting this will happen, but it’s the card that resonated most with the panel’s discussions.
