Immersion Games, a creative indie studio hailing from Poland, is gearing up to introduce gamers to their latest venture in the realm of virtual reality. They’re set to launch a new title this month, offering a fresh take on familiar VR fitness concepts by blending them with an engaging fantasy theme.
Their upcoming game, Fitness Fables, is packed with all the elements you’d typically expect in a fantasy adventure. Think of 80 immersive levels, 16 gripping boss battles, and plenty of bonus challenges, all adding up to about 24 hours of total gameplay. It’s designed to be an on-rails experience, focusing heavily on a variety of exercises. Players can look forward to performing activities ranging from power squats and rope swings to sky presses and battle ropes. There’s also punching and rowing, among other workouts to keep things exciting.
This game marks an enticing addition to the VR fitness line-up, catering to those who might be seeking alternatives to rhythm-based games like Beat Saber or Synth Riders, or those who have tried workout-centric titles like Supernatural or Les Mills Bodycombat.
Fitness Fables isn’t popping up from nowhere, either. Immersion Games has already made its mark in the VR space with several successful projects. Notable mentions include the dynamic PvP combat game Divine Duel, launched in 2023, the puzzle-action adventure Extreme Escape from 2022, and the sports-themed Disc Ninja, which hit the shelves in 2021.
Fitness enthusiasts and gaming aficionados alike can mark their calendars for the debut of Fitness Fables on the Quest platform, set for January 30th. It’s available for pre-order in the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and up, retailing at a reasonable $12.
