Some of the updates for Fallout: London might have taken a bit longer to roll out than initially planned, but they’re certainly worth the wait. Each post-release patch has brought a slew of improvements, and the upcoming patch 1.03 is set to raise the bar even higher as it’s dropping alongside the mod’s first pieces of DLC.
Yes, you read that right, DLC is on the horizon. The folks over at Team FOLON shared their excitement in a recent announcement on their Discord. “We’re thrilled to bring you news of the forthcoming v1.03 patch for Fallout: London,” they said. “What we initially intended as a simple hotfix has grown into something much larger. Aware that these changes might affect your save files, we’ve decided it makes more sense to integrate them into our very first DLC.”
This DLC will include fresh content and some parts that were initially cut but are now being restored. “Keep an eye out for more updates—big things are happening!” they teased.
Curious about what this DLC might contain? Well, the talk about cut content sounds promising. When we chatted with Fallout: London’s project lead, Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter, during the summer, he mentioned their plans to add a New Vegas-style wildcard arc into the main questline. It had to be removed during the mod’s original development phase but could potentially make a comeback in a future update. Could this be the patch that brings it back? We don’t have a definitive answer yet, but it’s certainly a possibility.
As for patch 1.03, it’s going to include a slew of fixes outlined in a detailed spreadsheet Team FOLON has made available.
In wrapping up their announcement, the modders revealed that Team FOLON is now a registered business, marking a significant milestone for them. “While we will continue to support Fallout: London, it’s time for us to also look to the future,” they wrote. They also encouraged fans to participate in a survey to share their thoughts on the team’s current trajectory and what they’d like to see next.
“Your feedback will help shape Team FOLON’s future direction,” they emphasized. That’s quite a responsibility on the shoulders of the fans!
