Set during the latter half of Season 4, this game delivers an all-new, original storyline within the world of Westeros. As a player, you’ll step into the shoes of a fresh character, an heir to House Tyre—a minor house from the North that’s intricately woven into the kingdom’s political drama.

Throughout your adventure, you’ll meet iconic figures like Jon Snow, Samwell Tarly, Lord Varys, and Cersei Lannister. Plus, you’ll witness events that have never been portrayed before, such as the fluctuating loyalties of House Bolton. The game transports players to legendary locations such as King’s Landing, Castle Black, and Highgarden, all meticulously recreated to mirror their on-screen counterparts.

An open-world exploration allows you to freely wander through these iconic locales and venture beyond the Wall into uncharted territories. In each town, new and hidden, you’ll uncover unique quests and challenges tightly interwoven with Game of Thrones’ rich lore.

You can choose from three distinct character classes: Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin, each reflecting different archetypes from the Game of Thrones realm. Sellswords, modeled after Wildlings and Dothraki, rely on sheer force, while Assassins, with their twin daggers, embody the stealth and speed of the Faceless Men and Dornish fighters.

Every class offers unique gear and abilities, allowing you to craft your character’s growth path. The trait trees subdivide into Attack, Defense, and Support, each offering nodes with specific advantages. You can sharpen your character’s skills in one area or craft a more versatile hero. With four skill slots available, you can equip your favorite special skills unique to your class.

Combat requires you to read enemy moves and respond wisely. You’ll have options to guard and parry, though some foes will have unblockable moves, necessitating careful dodging. Strategy and timing are your keys to ending victorious.

Beyond the main storyline, there’s a multiplayer mode called Altar of Memories. Here, players can team up to take on legendary beasts like massive ice spiders, unicorns from Skagos, majestic griffins, and grotesque cockatrices.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad launches in Early Access on March 26, and you can pre-register now on the official site.
