The sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has achieved impressive sales, surpassing the 30 million mark in copies sold. This news comes from CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, as highlighted in a report by VGC. The announcement coincided with the release of the company’s financial results for the quarter ending in September.
In addition, the game’s expansion, Phantom Liberty, has also achieved significant success, selling over eight million units so far.
There’s more exciting news for Cyberpunk fans: the game is set to become available on Mac devices soon. Furthermore, a new animation project based in the Cyberpunk world is currently underway.
Nielubowicz shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I also have some good news straight from Night City.” He highlighted the robust sales achievements, noting, “Sales of Cyberpunk 2077 have topped 30 million copies, while the Phantom Liberty expansion has sold eight million units.” He emphasized how these numbers demonstrate the extensive reach of the fanbase and the growing interest in the Cyberpunk universe.
“These achievements are key for us, especially since we’ve announced that next year, the game and its expansion will be launching on Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon chips,” Nielubowicz added. He also expressed excitement about the new Netflix-bound animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, promising more thrilling content for fans.
