Last week saw Monster Hunter Wilds climb to the third spot in the Steam pre-order charts, showing just how eagerly gamers are waiting to dive into this new chapter of Capcom’s cherished action RPG series. With its release set for February 28th, anticipation is clearly heating up. Reflecting back to 2019, after Monster Hunter World launched, Capcom noted that the game was PC’s second top performer, underscoring how significant the platform is for the franchise.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 reclaimed its position at the top of the list, and Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 also made a notable move. Since its release on February 10th, Civilization 7 initially entered at No.3, though the limited initial chart data didn’t fully capture its success. Over on the other side, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 saw a dip, sliding three slots down to fourth, though it continues to impress with over two million units sold. Interestingly, Apex Legends made quite the leap—soaring 22 places to land in fifth—thanks to the buzz generated by its latest season of content.
Elsewhere in the rankings, a few shifts occurred. Valve’s Steam Deck, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Marvel Rivals each slipped one spot, settling at sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively. However, fresh on the scene, Obsidian’s new RPG Avowed entered the fray, debuting at ninth place. Warframe also marked its return to the Top Ten, climbing up two slots to close out the list.
Here’s how the Steam Top Ten looked for the week ending February 18th:
1. Counter-Strike 2, Valve
