Hold onto your controllers, gaming enthusiasts! Some thrilling news from 2XKO has just surfaced on social media, making this month a lot more exciting for fans everywhere. So, what’s all the buzz about? Well, it’s the announcement of an upcoming development update video. In this video, we can expect a detailed briefing on the latest game updates, particularly with “Jinx,” and information on the future Alpha Lab test.
Who’s bringing this exciting news to the table? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO. He recently posted on Twitter, revealing, “We’ve just wrapped up filming for the upcoming 2XKO update! We’re still in the process of editing, producing, and localizing, but here’s what you can look forward to: an in-depth exploration of gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (including Jinx!), insights and details about Alpha Lab 2, plus a showmatch featuring our dev team.”
In his tweet, Ben continues, “It’s a comprehensive update that gets pretty detailed, so expect the video to run about an hour or so. We’re aiming to release it in the last week of March. We’re not quite at the point of doing live PowerPoint presentations yet, but maybe someday…”
Before you get too excited, though, Ben clarified that there won’t be any new character reveals in this update, so it’s a tad early to start making bets on that front.
Last year, the 2XKO team hinted that new information would be unveiled in February with a parting message, “See you next year.” However, instead of February, game director Shaun Rivera recently took to Twitter to share a few changes. These include adjusting the scope for the next Alpha Labs test and introducing a new twist for the game.
While it seems that some internal timelines at Riot have shifted, leading to the delay from February to March, the game is still on track for a release this year. It’s going to be refreshing to get well-rounded updates on what’s happening, the work in progress, and when we might next catch a glimpse of 2XKO out in the gaming universe.
So, are you planning to tune into this update? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
