Nintendo’s mobile app, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, is set to close its virtual doors on November 28, 2024, at 3 PM BST / 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. We’ve all been bracing ourselves for this final farewell, especially knowing that Pocket Camp Complete is swooping in next month. Still, as we face this reality, it’s tough not to get a little emotional about the new in-game event—the ‘Thank-You Finale.’
What’s special about Pocket Camp’s farewell is that it doesn’t simply fade out without a word, unlike some of Nintendo’s other applications. Instead, the ‘Thank-You Finale’ offers a heartwarming end to the journey for players who’ve been crafting their little utopia for seven years now.

Although it’s tough to part ways with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, this isn’t a permanent farewell. Enthusiasts who wish to continue their mobile Animal Crossing adventures can look forward to Pocket Camp Complete, arriving next month. Launching on December 3rd, you can snag it for an ‘early discounted price’ of $9.99 / £8.99 until January 31, 2025, after which it’ll be $19.99 / £17.99.
This upcoming paid version closely mirrors its free predecessor, with added perks like new Leaf Tokens and a handy Camper Cards feature. You can seamlessly transfer all your Pocket Camp data into this new version, so there’s no need to worry about digging into your pockets for more Bells later on.
