Multiplayer Support for Original Arizona Sunshine to End This July

The beloved VR game, Arizona Sunshine, is preparing to say goodbye to its online multiplayer feature starting July 2025. The decision comes as a result of Unity’s plan to sunset the UNet Service.

Since its initial release in 2016, Arizona Sunshine has been a staple in the world of virtual reality, captivating players with its immersive gameplay. Despite its long-standing popularity, developer Vertigo Games announced that the game’s online multiplayer mode will cease operations on July 1, 2025. This closure is directly linked to Unity’s phase-out of the UNet Service, a platform crucial to running these multiplayer functions.

However, since 2019, Unity has been scaling back its support for this service, with full discontinuation set for July 7, 2025.
