Duel Across Dual Lanes

The buzzworthy Two-Lane Battle setup is set to bring a fresh spin to a classic. On select stages, players can duke it out across both a foreground and a background lane. By executing certain attacks, fighters can zip between these lanes, offering a tactical layer where your positioning can make all the difference. With each lane allowing for unique actions depending on where you and your opponent are positioned, this system spices up the gameplay with mind-bending strategies that keep the adrenaline pumping!

Getting Down to Business

Kicking things off, head to the Dream Amusement Park “Morning” stage to dive into this retro-inspired combat. At launch, it’s the singular venue for Two-Lane Battles, but more are on the horizon! Starting the match in the same lane, you can switch lanes using the X and RB buttons simultaneously. And if you’re feeling aggressive while swapping lanes, smack A and RB together for a spectacular jumping lane switch attack.

Upon splitting into different lanes, a dazzling array of options unfurl for you. Execute a grounded attack that brings you back into your rival’s lane by simply pressing X. Prefer aerial stunts? Engage the opponent from above with the A or B buttons. For those who want to bring the fight to you, hit Y for a special pullback maneuver that shifts your foe into your lane.
