Playground Games has exciting news for racing fans: Forza Horizon 5 is making its way to the PlayStation 5. If you’ve already nailed all the achievements on your previous playthrough and are eager for a fresh start, you’ll soon get to embark on that thrilling journey again with the addition of PlayStation trophies. Though an exact release date remains under wraps, PS5 users should gear up for the game’s arrival in the spring.

In a recent announcement, Playground Games confirmed that Forza Horizon 5, a title once exclusive to Xbox, will soon be available on the PS5. This new version is being crafted by Panic Button, collaborating closely with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games itself. Fans can mark their calendars for a spring 2025 release. “We’re thrilled to welcome a brand-new community of players to the Horizon Festival,” shared Playground Games in a blog post. “With almost 900 cars, numerous thematic updates, two expansive additions, and loads more content, we’re happy to announce that this spring, PS5 gamers will get to dive into the vibrant landscapes of Mexico and join the Horizon Festival for the first time.”

The PS5 adaptation will mirror the Xbox version’s offerings. Players can look forward to the same exhilarating experience, complete with the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions, all available for purchase along with former car packs.

Moreover, Playground Games is crafting a “special new free content update for all platforms,” dubbed Horizon Realms. This update will allow players to delve into a curated collection of beloved community favorites from the Evolving Worlds, mixed with some enticing surprises.
