Back in July, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable made its debut as an Early Access release on Quest, kicking off with a singular mission and a select few unlockable blades. The developers promised content expansions in the subsequent months, and now UNIVRS has unveiled the ‘Complete Edition,’ which has been expanded to include four chapters.
When we first tried it out in July, the game felt more like a tech demonstration. Sure, it incorporated a significant chunk of core gameplay, but it was confined to just one chapter and an infinite wave mode accompanied by a mandatory scoreboard.
Fast forward to the Complete Edition, and Part One now lets players dive into chapters three and four, tackle an epilogue, and face off with an Armored Titan boss.
For the first time, you can also team up with friends in co-op mode, providing an opportunity to experience all the chapters together seamlessly.
Furthermore, with the comprehensive game release, UNIVRS has teased an exciting ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ slated for January. The studio hails this as a “global challenge.” They’re also planning a free update in 2025, as noted on the game’s webpage.
Despite our early criticism noting the game’s “roughness,” it seems to have struck a chord with the fanbase. As of this moment, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable has earned a respectable [4.5/5] user rating on the Horizon Store.
If you grabbed the Early Access version, Part 2 will be available as a free download. Newcomers will find Part 1 priced at $8, Part 2 at $12 (with Part 1 required), or both parts bundled together for $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro.
