Devs United Games, the creative minds behind the popular Quest exclusive, Real VR Fishing, have exciting news for the VR community. They’re gearing up to launch this much-loved VR fishing experience for PC VR headsets next month.
Slated to make its debut on SteamVR headsets in early December, Real VR Fishing will roll out with the same pricing strategy and gameplay that fans have come to enjoy on the Quest version. Gamers can expect all the downloadable content—think the US West Coast, US East Coast, and Japan DLC Parts 1 and 2—to be available on Steam right from the start.
The core game packs a punch with 40 different fishing spots and over 150 species of fish at your virtual fingertips. Moreover, those added DLC packs significantly expand this offering, presenting 95 additional fishing locations and more than 300 fish species to lure and catch.
While Real VR Fishing boasts both solo and multiplayer modes for up to four players on Quest, it’s worth noting that the developers shared with Road to VR that the Steam version won’t support cross-play multiplayer with Quest, Pico, and PC VR systems.
For those diving into the Steam adaptation, there’s more in store. Expect built-in YouTube and web browsing capabilities, coupled with monthly updates and aquarium customization options, to enhance your gaming experience.
First launched on Quest back in late 2019, Real VR Fishing quickly became the go-to fishing game on the platform, earning an impressive 4.6 out of 5 rating from over 7,200 users. If you’re eager to dive into this immersive fishing adventure on PC, you can add Real VR Fishing to your Steam wishlist now, ahead of its early December launch.
